Baptism Cake

I have done multiple Baptism cakes in the past, but this was my first time filming any of the process.  I apologize for any "flubs" in the video.

This is not the most elaborate cake I've ever done, but there's something special in it's simplicity.

Here is the cake base-coated.  If you want the top to be perfectly smooth, let the buttercream sit for 15 minutes or so (until the frosting is stiff) and either take a hot spatula and smooth over the top, or use cornstarch and your gloved finger to smooth down the top.

Here, the pattern is laid out for the cake, but there is still a lot to do.

I've added the vines and the roses.  Roses can be tricky, but practice makes perfect.

An HD camera points out any flaws, so be aware when there are any inconsistencies! :)

These two photos highlight the border and combed sides.

Here's a closer look at the roses.

I'll post the link to the video and more about the blog and myself later.
